Our Team

HG Vallabh Chaitanya Das.

He did his BComm. degree from Calcutta University and is also qualified as a Chartered accountant (CA) inter. After working in La Opala as an accountant, he came in contact with the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), in the year 1998. After that, he joined as a full-time preacher to spread the message of Bhagavad Gita and Srimad Bhagavatam. He has served in ISKCON Kolkata in various departments such as kitchen, deity department and having a skill of good events management, he has organized festivals such as Rath Yatra, Janmashtami, Gaur Purnima, Ram Katha, Camps such as youth camps, householder’s camps, children’s camps, etc. He has also served as a youth preacher a conducted various seminars in various colleges like Calcutta Medical College, Calcutta National Medical College, Jadavpur university 1st and 2nd campus, Bengal Engineering College, Shibpur, Kolaghat Engineering College,  on topics such as
  • Art of harnessing mind power
  • Overcoming bad habits
  • Time management seminars
  • Overcoming stress, anger. Depression

He also counsels young misguided youths to build character and integrity and to choose the right path towards morality and conduct.
  • He was one of the CSV (Council of spiritual visionary) member of ISKCON Kolkata
  • He was also serving as CDC (Congregation Development Committee) Chairman of ISKCON Kolkata
  • He was leading a project for Dumdum Temple development
  • He was leading a Bhakti Vriksha in ISKCON Kolkata.
  • He was taking various programs for householders such as Discover your self, Positive thinker course, Self Manager, Bhagavad Gita
Currently, He is leading and managing the ISKCON Dumdum Project

HG Kannainatshala Das.

After finishing his schooling in Hyderabad, he pursued his higher studies from IIT Roorkee. He was placed in Johnson & Johnson company in Mumbai. It was there in Mumbai where he got introduced to Krishna Consciousness. After serving in FIITJEE, a reputed coaching institute in Kolkata, as a faculty for three years, he decided to join the temple full time in order to dedicate his life to the mission. Having a good understanding of powerful scriptures like Srimad Bhagavad Gita and Srimad Bhagavatam, he shares the in-depth philosophy and applications through practical examples.

He has actively helped in many activities like -

HG Chaitanya Madhav Das.

He pursued his B. Tech degree from KIT, Kalinga Institute of Technology, at Bhubaneshwar and got connected with ISKCON. He used to visit ISKCON Bhubaneshwar. Later he got a job at TCS Kolkata. After coming to Kolkata, he came in contact with Bhagavad-gita classes conducted by ISKCON Kolkata. Later he decided to serve full-time in the mission of Srila Prabhupada as a monk. He joined ISKCON Kolkata Brahmachari Ashram in 2012.

Since then, he has actively helped in many activities like -
  • Managing Rathyatra Kitchen (everyday feeding khichadi to 25000+ visitors, for 9 days of the festival)
  • Bhakti Vriksha preaching, since 2014 till now.
  • Children summer camps
  • Book distribution
  • Conducting festivals like Janmashtami, Rathyatra, Ramnavami etc.
  • Yatra arrangements and yatra kitchen
  • Taking Bhagavad Gita classes in Andhra Association.
  • Chairman of ISKCON Dumdum CDC (Congregation Development Committee)
  • An active member of ISKCON Dumdum Festival Committee

He is a Bhakti Shastri degree holder, which is an authorized degree course in ISKCON on 4 scriptures, Bhagavad-gita, Nectar of Devotion, Nectar of Instruction and Ishopanishad. This can be compared to a Graduation Certificate.

HG Sri Govind Ghosh Das.

He is a doctor by profession. He is connected with ISKCON since 2005 and seriously practicing Krishna Consciousness since 2009. He pursued his medical education from Calcutta Medical College, after which he had served in Surgical Gastro Enterology & CCU. He was also a resident doctor in medicine from KPC Medical College, Jadavpur. Later on, he decided to become the doctor of soul and joined ISKCON Kolkata as a monk in the year 2014.

Since then, he has actively helped in many activities like -
  • Bhakti Vriksha preaching, since 2014 till now.
  • Children summer camps
  • Book distribution
  • Conducting festivals like Janmashtami, Rathyatra, Ramnavami etc.
  • Yatra management
  • Taking Bhagavad Gita classes
  • Deity Services at ISKCON Kolkata
He is currently pursuing his Bhakti Vaibhav Course, which can be compared to Post Graduation, which includes deep dive into the Srimad Bhagavatam.

HG Sri Mathura Pati Das.

He was born in Udaipur (Tripura). Later on his father shifted to WestBengal. After doing a diploma in Electrical Engineering in 1995, he started doing a job in Kolkata in 2008. Even though his office was just opposite to the ISKCON Kolkata Temple (Albert Road) and he was working there since 2008, he didn't know that ISKCON has such strong preaching activities. However, in order to have Khichidi Prasad, he used to visit the ISKCON Kolkata Rath Yatra (largest in the world, after Jagannath Puri). During such an outing, in the year, 2010, one devotee handed him over a Discover Yourself Course leaflet and it appeared interesting. He slowly started to attend the course. The entire course was so scientifically and practically designed that all his doubts and misunderstandings got cleared. He recollects, in his initial days, he used to be an atheist. From then he got connected to spiritual life, quoting his words - "I got trapped to this honeycomb of nectar and hopefully will continue till the end of the last breath of life."

Apart from following regular sadhana, he is very sincerely engaged in rendering various services, like facilitation of his batch, facilitation during festivals like Rath Yatra, etc.

Vinod Chopra and Sangeeta Chopra.

Vinod Chopra, a General Manager in a private organization and Sangeeta Chopra, did her studies in psychology and currently, a homemaker, has been married for 29 years now.

Both are making a very sincere contribution to ISKCON Kolkata by their humble services which include, rendering weekly backup services at the temple, facilitation of their batch and devotees, assisting temple devotees for organizing Yatra, Festivals, Children Summer and other Events, personally cooking and serving Prasad for classes, senior devotees and various festivals, an active member of ISKCON Dumdum CDC (Congregation Development Committee). 

They have very nicely inculcated the devotional nature in their children, Vitasha and Kritik, and this makes their home spiritually vibrant.

HG Karuna Sindhu Nitai Das & HG Karuna Priya Devi Dasi.

HG Karuna Sindhu Nitai Das has been a very dedicated devotee and has been practicing devotional life for 10+ years. He is also serving as a Director of Partha Educational Institutions in Kolkata. This institute has been responsible for shaping the future of all of its students. The students get knowledge not only to get admission into the leading engineering / medical colleges of India but also gets a solid framework to shape their lives as gentle human beings.

HG  Karuna Priya Devi Dasi, an engineering graduate, was inspired into Krishna Consciousness by her husband. She has been a very sincere and loving devotee. She is rendering very humble role of facilitating her batch where married couples come together for a spiritual association. She is also facilitating Devotee Matrimony.

They got initiation from His Holiness Radhanath Swami Maharaj in 2019. Both of them as a powerful team is not only serving the temple but also trying to groom their little daughter, Braja Devi, into a wonderful devotee.

Sabita Biswas.

She is a post graduate doctor by profession, qualified from PGIMER Chandigarh, presently settled in Kolkata and working in a corporate hospital. She has been connected with ISKCON for almost 3 years now. Her neighbor’s house was then rented by the ISKCON youth devotees. A senior devotee from ISKCON happened to visit her home and that was how she got to know about ISKCON classes. After connecting with ISKCON, she does feel more positive in life and in general more content. She says, "initially I wondered whether I would be able to take time out for this activity but somehow I have been able to manage, despite having long working hours. I would like to contribute in whichever way is possible."

She has been a very humble and sincere devotee, rendering services very silently.

Aparna Das.

She is a school teacher by profession presently settled in Kolkata. She has been connected with ISKCON for almost 3 years now. She attended a summer camp organized by ISKCON Kolkata and got connected since then. After connecting with ISKCON and regularly attending Bhagavad Gita classes, she does feel more positive in life and in general more satisfied and genuinely happy. She is a mother of two bright daughters, Sampurna Das (11 years) and Subhanita Das (3 years). She is trying to groom both her daughters as a sincere devotee by nourishing them with Krishna Consciousness from a very early age.

Tamoghna Mondal.

He is a professor in fashion design, with more than 17 years of solid and successful teaching experience. He has been inclined towards spirituality since a very early age. He got connected to ISKCON in 2018 and since then he has been taking up Krishna Consciousness with full enthusiasm and sincerity. He says "complete engagement to Krishna consciousness has started after the demise of my mother when I realized that there is something beyond the elements of the body.

He is having a 5-year-old son. Both father and son treat each other as their best friend. Though not neglecting the mundane education, he is very carefully nurturing his son with proper consciousness so that he can grow up to be a devotee and a gentleman.

Narayan Jha.

Narayan Jha is a Graduate in Software Engineering. He has also pursued his Event Management Training and running his own business now.

Since his childhood, he was curious about the spiritual life. In 2017, he joined Bhagavad Gita Courses conducted by ISKCON Kolkata. Since then he has been a very sincere devotee. He says,  since the day he joined ISKCON he has experienced numerous experiences which made him realize the Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, is always guiding him during his tough time through the teachings of Bhagavad Gita. He loves to sing and dance the glories of Sri Hari. He has served temple, his congregation and his mentors in numerous ways by assisting temple devotees for organizing Yatra, Festivals and other Events.

Krisha Kedia.

Krisha Kedia, daughter of Vivek Kedia and Kusum Kedia, is a very sweet devotee, of 11 years and currently in 5th Standard of South Point School. She has a younger sister, Vrinda Kedia. She came in touch with ISKCON in the year 2012 and since then she has been very sincerely taking onto Krishna Consciousness. She regularly chants 2 rounds of Hare Krishna Maha Mantra, without fail. She loves drawing, dancing and singing.

Debasish Biswas.

He is pursuing his studies in Botany (Honors).

He is practicing Krishna Consciousness since June 2019. He is a regular and sincere student of Bhagavad Gita classes conducted by ISKCON in Salt Lake Kolkata. He chants the Hare Krishna Mahamatra regularly and has felt positive changes in his character. He says his temper and mind seems to be more under control than earlier.

He recollects he was taken to Sri Dham Mayapur by his relatives. There he was amazed to see the devotees serving and practicing Krishna Consciousness, irrespective of their nationality or gender. It was as if everyone was tied with a single garland of Krishna. He was so inspired that he searched the nearest ISKCON center at his place, and this is how he came in touch with Salt Lake congregation where he joined and started practicing his devotion.

Sampurna Das.

Sampurna Das, daughter of Subhashish Das & Aparna Das, is 11years of age and in 6th standard of Sri Aurobindo Institute of Education. She came into Krishna Consciousness when she was 8 years old. Since day one, she had shown immense interest in attending spiritual classes designed for children. She is an extremely dedicated, sincere and talented devotee. She very easily recites and memorizes Bhagavad Gita slokas. Apart from regularly chanting Hare Krishna Mahamantra, she helps her mother in deity services, by picking flowers and assisting in decoration, offering bhoga to the lord. As a hobby, she likes to listen to bhajans, she also likes singing and drawing.

Apromeya Mandal.

Apromeya Mandal, son of Tamoghna Mandal, is 5 and a half years of age, studying in the 1st standard of  Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. He loves Krishna very much and loves to dress like Him. His favorite story is Krishna's fight with Bakasur and Kamsa. He has got a small Krishna deity from Sri Jagannath Puri and always loves to keep him in his company. Every day he honors prasadam by chanting Hare Krishna Maha Mantra. He loves drawing and painting. Like other kids of his age, he loves to play many outdoor games.

Jaideep Mukherjee & Rusha Mukherjee.

Jaideep and Rusha are a married couple.

Jaideep pursued his MTech from BITS Pilani and is currently working in IT Industry. He is connected with ISKCON since 2006.

Rusha did her graduation in Genetics and MBA in human resources. She has served in various MNCs like Infosys, Capgemini, etc. She came in touch with ISKCON in 2005 and used to also attend Bhagavad Gita discourses in ISKCON Zurich.

Finally, they started practicing Krishna Consciousness seriously since 2014 by joining spiritual classes conducted by ISKCON Kolkata.

Currently, they are trying to serve Srila Prabhupada by

(*) Spreads Krishna Consciousness through articles,
(*) Active member of ISKCON Dumdum CDC (Congregation Development Committee)

Pada Seva

Pada Seva is a blog of ISKCON Dumdum and is maintained by the ISKCON Dumdum congregational devotees.

Pada-Sevanam means to serve the lotus feet of the Lord and His devotees. It is one of the nine different processes of executing Krishna consciousness. This website is an offering from us to Srila Prabhupada in the same mood of Pada Sevanam, hence the name.
