"Pada Seva means to serve the lotus feet of Guru and Krishna. You cannot serve Krishna without Guru, or serve just Guru without serving Krishna. They must be served or offered pada seva simultaneously." - Srila Prabhupada

Discover Yourself

At times, if not always, we wonder
  • Why do bad things happen to good people?
  • Why I am forced to act against my desires?
  • Is there any justice in the world?
  • How to connect with Supreme?
  • Is there life after death?
  • How do these questions really matter?
Here is an opportunity for you to get the answers to the above questions and more than that Discover Yourself in a peaceful atmosphere with soul-satisfying Prasad. Please avail the facility of interactive “SELF DISCOVERY” programs in your nearby areas. You would relish music, mantra-meditation, philosophical discussion, and a delicious prasad.

We would also encourage you to bring your family members and friends to the program. This will not only give you support but also help you connect on a deeper level with them.

Bhagavad Gita in Application

A course designed for an honest seeker.

The science of Bhagavad Gita has been spoken approximately 5,000 years ago by the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Krishna. The message is present before us in the form of 700 verses. The challenge is to interpret the verses and to understand what Krishna actually meant.

It is like the Chinese Whisper Game or Telephone Game, in which, players sit in a circle or stand in a straight line. The first person in the line or circle whispers a word or phrase into the ear of the person sitting or standing to their right. The game continues as the players whisper the phrase to their neighbors until it reaches the last player in line. The last player says the word or phrase out loud so everyone can hear how much it has changed from the first whisper at the beginning of the circle or line.

Therefore, for an intelligent seeker, it is imperative that he will seek a source from where he will get the original message without any concoctions.

Next point is, one may memorize all the 700 verses, but unless he knows or understands how to implement the teachings in his daily life, he is missing the whole point.

This course is very systematically designed to provide the message as it is in a very practical way so that the student gets an in-depth understanding of each verse and knows how to lead his life the way Krishna wants. Not only does this course enlightens the students with the knowledge of Bhagavad Gita, but also plugs in the philosophies of Srimad Bhagavatam, Ishopanishad, Brahma Samhita, Bhakti Rasamrita Sindhu (Nectar of Devotion, Sri Updeshamrit (Nectar of Instruction), Sri Chaitanya Charitamrita, Sri Chaitanya Bhagavata, along with Sadhna & Sadachar, so that the student gets an opportunity to grow better in the science of devotional services.

Pada Seva

Pada Seva is a blog of ISKCON Dumdum and is maintained by the ISKCON Dumdum congregational devotees.

Pada-Sevanam means to serve the lotus feet of the Lord and His devotees. It is one of the nine different processes of executing Krishna consciousness. This website is an offering from us to Srila Prabhupada in the same mood of Pada Sevanam, hence the name.
